Python Rattlesnake
The python is a large "primitive" snake. "Primitive" means
it has two small stumps on its body that were once hind legs on
its ancestors. Found in tropical parts of Africa, Asia, East
India, and Australia, pythons eat such things as rodents and pigs.
The largest python is the Reticulated Python which grows to a
length of nearly 30 feet.
Residents of many parts of North and South America, rattlesnakes
use the rattles on their tails to warn other animals to keep away.
Rattlesnakes hunt in the dark by sensing the warmth of the small
animals that they live on. They kill their prey by injecting poison
into them and then swallowing them whole.
